Continental will process your data within the scope of commissioning auto repair shops in accordance with the applicable statutory provisions.
Any personal data provided to us as part of the commissioning/authorization of your auto repair shop will be migrated by Continental to the online training and partner administration database. Personal data from the migration that you enter or transmit to us will be collected, processed, and used by Continental AG for the purpose of entering data on and maintaining the online training and partner administration database. This data is required in order to use the services of the "VDO Academy" training platform and to maintain and update all information associated with the commissioning in accordance with section 57b of the Road Traffic Licensing Regulations (StVZO), such as changes to trained testing personnel or legal representative, issuing new assignment certificates.
In addition, the training institution selected by you has access to the data you provided.
The lawful use of your data by the training facility is not the responsibility of Continental, but is the responsibility of the training facility of your choice.
To the extent that this is required for processing the contract, a transmission of data to Continental affiliates within the meaning of §§ 15 ff. of the (German) Stock Corporation Act can take place on the basis of Continental's Binding Corporate Rules. If permitted or required by law, the data may be analyzed for reporting purposes (e.g. statistics). The collection, processing and use of your data takes place exclusively on the basis of the applicable data protection regulations (for example, your consent).
In the course of ensuring the platform services, we transfer data to our service providers Wind Internethaus GmbH, Am Krebsgraben 15, 78048 Villingen-Schwenningen and to com-a-tec GmbH, Am Krebsgraben 15, 78048 Villingen-Schwenningen. Wind and com-a-tec record and process your personal data on our behalf (on the basis of an agreement on the contracted data processing) as required for processing the contract. To ensure other applications such as online training and webinars, we also transfer your data to the following service providers: edudip GmbH, Jülicher Straße 306, 52070 Aachen; TIA innovations GmbH, Adlergasse 7, 73560 Böbingen a. d. Rems; Speed4Trade GmbH, An den Gärten 8, 92665 Altenstadt and Verlag Henrich Vogel Springer Automotive Media - Springer Fachmedien München GmbH, Aschauer Straße 30, 81549 Munich. They record and process your personal data as required for processing the contract.
Your data will be treated as strictly confidential in accordance with the statutory provisions.
Continental only stores personal data relating to users of its online training and partner administration if there is a legal basis for doing so. The only data that is stored relates to the date and time of the visit, the pages visited, cursor use on the website, the page functions used, and the website from which the user accessed VDO Academy or VDO Partner Administration. The IP address is transmitted anonymously and will only be used for geographical classification at city level. Continental uses this data to measure website activity, to compile statistics, and to improve the services and information provided by the websites.
Personal user data is solely used to process inquiries within the context of the consent granted or in compliance with respective data protection regulations. Based on legal requirements, Continental has enforced global, uniform, and internal data protection rules (the Binding Corporate Rules), which regulate the protection of personal data.
Continental saves and uses data entered on VDO Academy and VDO partner administration such as first name, last name, birth date, company and email address for the purposes of individual communication with you. This data is stored and used exclusively for the purpose of processing your inquiry for VDO Academy and VDO Partner Administration. Your data will be deleted after termination of the use by VDO Academy and VDO Partner Administration (cancellation of §57b of the Road Traffic Licensing Regulations contract of assignment), as long as the deletion does not conflict with any statutory storage requirements.
Where you have agreed to receive a newsletter and other important information such as future functions and special offers from VDO Academy, your personal data will be used for this.
We will not disclose your personal data will to any third parties.
